⚠️ A warning for @Revolut customers. After almost 8 years of using Revolut without major problems, my personal account was suddenly restricted and scheduled for closure on 28 October 2026. I received no prior warning and no specific explanation of what caused this decision. I appealed, submitted a formal complaint and provided documents confirming the legitimate sources of my funds. I also made it clear that I am willing to explain any transaction and provide any additional documents required. Despite this, I still have not been told: • what activity caused the review • whether any document was insufficient • what I can clarify or correct • whether I have any genuine opportunity to keep my account I understand that legal restrictions may prevent Revolut from disclosing certain details. However, referring only to general AML regulations and saying that the decision is final does not give me any meaningful opportunity to address the issue. My goal is not simply to withdraw my funds. I want a genuine manual review and a fair opportunity to resolve any concerns so that I can continue using the account I have relied on for years. Can someone at @Revolut with the authority to review this decision please genuinely look into my case?

Card declined at the supermarket. Turns out Revolut had closed my account of 7 years without telling me. I'm at the checkout, groceries on the belt, people behind me. Card declined. Tried again. Declined again. Pulled out my phone and there was the notification: account closed. No warning, no email beforehand, no reason given. Just closed. I've had this account since 2019. Seven years. Never had a single issue with them, never got a transaction flagged, never had to send them a document. Salary in, rent and groceries out. No crypto, no big transfers, nothing unusual. A completely…
Revolut is closing my account on 29 of October after rejecting my appeal when massive paperwork was submitted . **Title: Revolut closing my account after rejecting my appeal – need advice** Hi everyone, Revolut has decided to close my account, and my **in-app appeal was rejected**. I’ve been a Revolut customer for around 5 years. I have legitimate employment and income in Ireland, with payslips going back around 6 years and annual income of **over €40,000**. I also have tax and residence documentation and have provided everything Revolut requested. The transactions that appear to have triggered the review were **repayments of a genuine personal loan from a close friend**. I have a signed agreement and supporting documentation. The Apple Pay top-ups were also **my own money from legitimate income/savings**. During the transaction review, the questionnaire kept asking me about receiving money **on behalf of someone else**, which was not my situation. I contacted Revolut Support because I couldn’t accurately complete the questionnaire, and shortly afterwards I received the closure decision. What is frustrating me most is that after explaining everything by email and providing evidence, I keep receiving what feels like a **copy-and-paste response saying they cannot tell me the outcome because it is “private and confidential.”** I understand there may be information Revolut legally cannot disclose, but **I’m the customer whose account is being closed**. I’m not asking them to reveal security systems or confidential investigation methods — I just want my evidence properly reviewed and to be given as much meaningful explanation as they are legally allowed to provide. This closure is also causing me serious disruption. **I have holidays planned, expenses arranged around this account, and most of my Direct Debits and regular payments are going through Revolut.** With the account b…
Account closure for no reason Today I woke up and saw a message that my account is being closed for no particular reason. I have done nothing wrong, but use revolut for daily usage and for payments, when I study abroad. I have appealed the matter but don't know what to expect as I am very very worried... Has anyone any experience with this matter? https://preview.redd.it/6c44xfj9znnh1.png?width=2322&format=png&auto=webp&s=da55647aba4e6b9c6166455d227fe0bd45c0449e
Revolut - Refused transaction in vendor - money left Revolut account Hi all, My daughter asked me to buy her something from Instant Gaming, and since Revolut has zero extra expenses. I used the site many times, but it was my 1st time using Revolut to pay for something online. The gaming site told me to pay in the app, and since the app was closed, I had to login, open and the popup was there for me to make the payment. The 1st attempt to pay failed for some reason, maybe a timeout; then, I retried to pay, and the payment was successful. The money left my Revolut account, but the vendor states that the payment was refused and that the payment was not made. Now, the refund process is not really great for this case; they ask me for proof in the form of a receipt, but for the vendor, the item was never sold because the bank refused the payment. I already sent my chat with the vendor's support team, a screenshot of the purchase with the tag payment refused, what else can I do? My 1st attempt was unsuccessful to get a refund. Thanks
Fraud claim rejection Hi everyone, This morning at 10.30am Irish time, I got a notification that I had made a transaction for €9.20. As I was attending a medical appointment at the time somewhere 30 minutes away from where the transaction supposedly took place, this is obviously impossible. I immediately raised a ticket with Revolut. They deemed from their logs that the transaction was made via Google Pay. They asked me had I shared my details with anyone, or lost my phone, which I said no to both, as I hadn't. They then rejected my fraud claim on the basis that Google Pay is basically too secure for fraud, and that my phone is my responsibility. This is despite me sending them a screenshot of Google maps as evidence of my location at the time of the transaction. This is incredibly frustrating. Someone has stolen my money, I can easily prove it wasn't me who made the transaction, and yet it's somehow my fault. Revolut have been less than helpful. I don't really care what the card provider constraints are to be honest, this is an open and closed case of fraud. Is this worth raising with the police? I know it's not a huge amount, but I also know from a friend that this is not the only case of fraud from this company. He works at this company, and says that at least 5 others have emailed reporting this. Any advice welcome. Thanks!
Revolut account blocked for over 5 years — unable to get any explanation or support Hi everyone, I’m posting here because I’ve been trying to resolve an issue with my Revolut account for several years and I honestly don’t know where else to ask for help. I originally opened a Revolut account many years ago while I was living in Italy. I barely used the account, and later, around the time I moved abroad and changed my country of residence from Italy to Malta, the account was closed/blocked. This happened more than five years ago.…
[EU/SI] Suspended Revolut account after 6 years I've been using Revolut for around 6 years with no major issues, and then completely out of nowhere I received a message from support saying that I had allegedly done something against their rules and that my account was being closed. After going through their "human" support team, I finally got an explanation: apparently the issue was related to me using **RevPoints**. The strange part is that I had basically never used RevPoints before. The only time I used them…
Transfer my stocks when Revolut it's closing my account Hello, After using Revolut since its launch, they decided to close my account for an unknown reason. I tried to appeal the decision, but my appeal was denied, even though I provided all the documents they requested. I accepted this outcome, despite using Revolut daily for multiple purposes, including transfers, bill splitting, recurring payments, stocks, crypto, Revolut Points, a joint account, and a savings account. However, I currently own some stocks that are down in value because I am waiting for their earnings reports. I contacted support to ask whether I could transfer the stocks to another broker, but they told me that because my account is in the process of being closed, my only option is to sell the stocks and transfer the money to another account. This would mean realizing a loss, which I do not want to do. Has anyone experienced the same problem? Is there any way to avoid selling the stocks? This situation is extremely frustrating and feels unfair. Thank you
[IT] Revolut closed my account I’ve always used Revolut for everyday expenses and to send money to friends and family. I’ve had the account for a little over 3 years, and it never gave me any trouble—until, for no apparent reason, they decided to close it, even though I provided proof of my income. That said, am I now permanently banned from Revolut? Is there no way to open a new account? Otherwise, I’ll have to switch to Deblock—if I’m not mistaken, a fintech company…
Banned after 3 chargebacks – told I could rejoin, now blocked. Help? Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice or experiences from anyone who has dealt with this. A few months ago, Revolut force-closed my account. The trigger was that I submitted 3 payment disputes/chargebacks on the exact same day. It was for a legitimate issue with a merchant where I was in the right, but the algorithm clearly flagged it as high risk. When it happened, support explicitly told me that my account would be fully deleted in 60 days, after which I could simply open a new one. The 60 days have passed, but every time I try to registerr, the app instantly blocks me during ID verification. When I reach out to support on other channels, I just get generic copy-paste answers saying they can't help and have no timeframe. * Has anyone actually managed to get this type of ID block removed? * Did submitting a Formal Complaint help anyone get a manual review from a human? I really valued Revolut for their dispute process, so I’d appreciate knowing if there’s any realistic way to solve this or if it’s a permanent ban. Thanks!
To whom it may concern! A Revolut Business customer here — my account has been under review for over a month, past the date I was promised, with £24k+ in funds blocked due to revolut and no outcome. This is causing serious harm to my business. Could someone look into this urgently @Revolut @RevolutBusiness @NikStoronsky
@revolut I’ve been given 5+ ETAs regarding my restricted funds. On the previous occasion, a member of staff assured me it would not go beyond that date. It has now been almost 2 months, with $40,000+ of my funds restricted. Support and escalation teams continue sending what appear to be copy-pasted responses, while complaints I’ve submitted over the past few weeks remain unanswered. These were savings I worked extremely hard for, specifically so I could take time away from work around the birth of my newborn and spend that time with my wife and child. Instead, I’ve been forced into debt and had to borrow money just to cover my family’s basic necessities. Revolut has been made fully aware of my circumstances. The financial pressure and distress this situation has caused me has been overwhelming. I’m currently experiencing a serious mental health crisis and I desperately need this situation resolved. I’m sharing this publicly because I don’t want another family to find themselves in the same position. No one should have to choose between accessing their own money and providing basic necessities for their wife and newborn. @revolut — I urgently need someone senior to properly review this case and provide a clear resolution, not another automated ETA. See you on the other side
Random account closure? Revolut has given me an account closure notice today and I have no idea why. I frequently use my revolut for the past few years. The main source of income in that revolut account is through my business account. Never had any issues at all. 3 days ago, I purchased ÂŁ30 worth of crypto (LTC) to make a payment, I instantly tried to sent it to a wallet address. That payment got stuck on pending for 2 days then it ultimately reversed. Yesterday, the crypto was available again for me to withdraw after having been reversed. This morning, I used my account as normal to pay ÂŁ3 for parking. 1 hour later, my funds were restricted and account under review. Several hours later, I receive a notification saying my account will be closed in some days and I can withdraw my funds. Is this to do with the crypto? As many people seem to have had account closures after getting involved in crypto in one way or another via revolut.
[GB] Revolut closed my UK account after asking for visa details — but I’m a British citizen. Revolut recently asked me to provide visa or immigration information for my UK account. I missed the original request, and my account was then restricted and eventually closed because they said they couldn’t verify the information they had on file. I supplied all documents from the Home page, but then they contacted me via chat for my “visa” which I have missed as I am not checking my app inbox. I did not get any email about it. The problem…
Revolut froze my funds abroad and support has entered an infinite empathy loop I’m travelling abroad right now and Revolut restricted my account for what they call a “routine security review”. The weird part is they don’t need anything from me. No documents. No source-of-funds proof. No explanation about any transaction. No questions at all. I’ve told them several times I’m available immediately and can provide anything they need. Their replies are basically: “We do not require any information from your end at the moment.” “The team is actively working through the necessary…
[GB] Revolut HAS FROZEN all my accounts and investments without warning or explanation My nightmare which is still outgoing with no resolution despite some attempts I will detail below began on July 7th 2026 at 10:29 AS I WRITE THIS 49 DAYS LATER ALL MY ACCESS TO ANY REVOLUT ACCOUNT IS REFUSED
Blocked three years ago with no reason given. Reapplied this month. Rejected because of the block. EU customer, posting my timeline because I think it’s worth having on record. Three years ago: Revolut asked me to submit documents for review. I submitted everything they requested. Shortly afterwards my account was blocked. I was never told why, and I was never told whether the block was permanent or reviewable. July 2025: I sent a formal complaint asking for two things. an explanation of why the account remained blocked and a review of my case to see whether…
[GB]Revolut restriction. **Revolut, please can someone actually help me my account has been restricted since 31 July** I don’t normally post things like this publicly, but I genuinely don’t know what else to do. My Revolut account has been restricted since 31 July. I’ve cooperated with everything I’ve been asked for and provided the information requested, but weeks later I still don’t have a resolution. My trading access has now also been restricted. Trading is a significant part of my income, so being unable to properly access my money or trade is having a real financial impact on me. More than anything, this situation is now seriously affecting my wellbeing. The uncertainty every single day, checking for updates and not knowing when I’ll have normal access to my own money again has become incredibly stressful and exhausting. I’ve submitted a formal complaint and I’m documenting the financial impact, including the trades I’m unable to make. I’m not asking Revolut to bypass any checks or legal obligations. I’m simply asking for someone at Revolut to please look at my case properly, tell me what is happening and help bring this to a resolution. After this long, I really don’t think that’s unreasonable. And if anyone here has experienced a similar restriction recently, I’d really appreciate hearing how long it took before you finally got a resolution.
