Revolut account restricted Anyone has a contact at Revolut? Last weekend my account was restricted along with 5 more people I know from friend of a friend. It seems like they just changed a trigger or something I am on holidays now and I barely use revolut for transactions but I have saving sitting there for 3 years in their stock markets. There is nowhere to see my account status, no documents were requested, support just says it’s “standard security checks” but I literally don’t have access to my account for a week with zero update. I literally was gonna open a business account this summer with them. Or do someone know if we can file an official complaint somewhere? Apparently on Revolut subreddit it can take months before the checks are “completed”

[IT] €1,000+ fraudulent transactions on Revolut (ITA) while traveling. App blocked, zero support, no phone number Hi everyone, I’m facing a critical security issue with my Italian Revolut account and desperately need advice on how to escalate this, as Revolut’s support system is completely failing me. **The Situation:** I am currently on vacation in Spain. Today, out of nowhere, **four unauthorized transactions** appeared on my Revolut credit card for **ITA Airways**, totaling **over €1,000**. **Important Security Detail:** I have **never** used this physical credit card. It has only ever been used via **Apple Pay**, which should be the most secure method available. Somehow, the card details were leaked or compromised. **The Current Nightmare:** 1. **Card Terminated:** As soon as I spotted the fraudulent charges, I immediately deleted/terminated the compromised card. 2. **Account Locked:** Shortly after, Revolut completely blocked my access to the mobile app. I can no longer log in. 3. **Zero Support:** Because I am locked out of the app, I cannot use the in-app chat to get support. To make matters worse, Revolut provides **no customer support phone number** on their website to handle urgent fraud cases like this. My money is now completely trapped, and because I have zero visibility or control over my account, I don't even know if more transactions are going through. Has anyone dealt with a complete app lockout during an active fraud incident? How can I reach a human at Revolut immediately when the app is blocked and there is no phone support? Any help, tags to official support handles, or escalation tips would be highly appreciated.
Should I hire a solicitor in Ireland after Revolut has frozen my personal account for over two months? Hi everyone, I'm looking for some advice from people familiar with Irish banking law or financial disputes. My personal Revolut account has been under restrictions since **6 May 2026**. More than two months have now passed. To be clear, I completely understand that banks have legal obligations to carry out AML and compliance checks. I am **not** complaining about the existence of those checks. My concern is how this review has been handled. So far: * my account has remained restricted for over two months; * I have not been asked to provide any meaningful documentation or explanation; * I have never been given a realistic timeframe for completion; * every contact with support results in the same answer: \"the review is ongoing.\" I submitted a formal complaint to Revolut. Interestingly, Revolut **upheld my complaint** and even offered compensation for the way the case had been handled. However, despite acknowledging shortcomings in their handling of the matter, the account restrictions remain in place. I have since: * referred the matter to the Financial Services and Pensions Ombudsman (FSPO); * submitted additional information to the FSPO as the situation has continued; * recently submitted a supervisory concern to the Bank of Lithuania, as Revolut Bank UAB is regulated there. At this point I feel I have exhausted all internal remedies. My questions are: 1. Is there any realistic benefit in instructing an Irish solicitor before the FSPO process is completed? 2. Is there any legal mechanism in Ireland that could compel Revolut to either complete the review or justify the continued restrictions? 3. Has anyone here instructed a solicitor against a bank in similar circumstances? 4. Roughly what would I expect to pay for: * an initial consultation; * a sol…
[DE] Revolut - Account frozen, offboarded, charged Hello, another frustrated ex-client to share experience with Revolut blocking bank services out of the blue, forces offboarding and charges fees for all of that. Revolut confirmed in early June that the account constraints would be due to a routince check after my sister transferred a Dollar balance to my Dollar account. That check took several weeks, resulted in Revolut's decision to offboard me as a client. Okay. And top of all: Revolut charges a wire fee for a USD balance transfer - even though it is Revolut that terminated the banking service contract. They asked me to convert USD to EUR. I told them I wanna keep USD and that is why I wanted to bank with Revolut: They offer multi-currency accounts, including USD accounts. But they terminated. Legal advisor told that bank-driven account closure and wind-down has to be free of charge. I need support as my request for a wire transfer free of charge is pending with Revolut. Feedback welcome.
[HU] [KZ] Revolut closed my account and €400 disappeared. Bank statement shows €0 opening and €0 closing balance. What should I do? Hi everyone, I'm really hoping someone here has experienced something similar or can point me in the right direction. My Revolut account was closed, and before it was closed I had around **€400** in it. This money was a **rental deposit refund** that someone from Hungary transferred to me. I never spent or transferred the money anywhere—I believed it was safely sitting in my account. I contacted Revolut and requested a bank statement. They sent me one (after verifying my identity with my date of birth), but the statement shows: * **Opening balance: €0** * **Closing balance: €0** It doesn't show the €400 at all. Unfortunately, I didn't take screenshots of my Revolut balance before the account was closed, and I know that's my mistake. However, **the person who sent me the money has proof that they transferred it to me**, so there is evidence that the payment was made. I also asked the sender whether the payment had been automatically returned after my account was closed, but they confirmed that **they never received the money back**. At this point, I have no idea where the €400 went. Has anyone dealt with something similar? * Is Revolut legally required to account for customer funds after an account is closed? * Why would a bank statement show a zero opening and zero closing balance if the account definitely received money? * Should I escalate this to the financial ombudsman or the Bank of Lithuania (since Revolut Bank is licensed there), or is there another authority I should contact first? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. €400 is a lot of money for me, and I'm honestly at a loss about what to do next. Thank you!
[CY] Unjustified 23-day corporate account freeze destroying a legitimate IT business Our corporate account (EMD INFOTECH LIMITED) has been completely restricted and our operational funds frozen for 23 consecutive days without a single explanation or warning. As a technology company, our daily operations rely heavily on making critical, time-sensitive payments for cloud servers, data centers, and global developers. By locking us out of our own legally earned capital for over three weeks, Revolut Business is causing severe, irreversible commercial and financial damage to our company, disrupting our payroll and core infrastructure. What is most unacceptable is the complete lack of professional diligence. We have repeatedly offered via chat to provide any invoices, contracts, or corporate documents required. Revolut's support explicitly confirmed in writing: \"We have all that is required from you at this stage. No further action is required.\" Furthermore, we filed an official complaint, and Revolut partially resolved it by awarding us a €55 compensation—a direct, written admission of their systemic delays and operational failure. Yet, despite paying compensation for their own mistake, their Compliance team continues to keep our funds hostage without any legal or judicial order. We have fully cooperated, there are zero pending documents, and absolutely no suspicious activity. This abusive, disproportionate practice is intolerable. We are officially filing a dispute with the Bank of Lithuania (their regulatory authority) today. Avoid Revolut Business if you want your company's funds to be safe and accessible.
[IE] Revolut security review has frozen large amounts of money from my account for over a week. Anyone experienced this? Hi everyone, My Revolut account has been under security checks since 24 June, and I still can’t access my funds. The review started after my partner, who had unfortunately been scammed, sent me €750 to keep safe. I immediately provided Revolut with all the documents they requested, and my partner’s bank (AIB) also contacted Revolut to confirm that I wasn’t involved in the fraud. Despite fully cooperating, the review is still ongoing. I’ve contacted support several times and explained that I need access to my money for everyday expenses, but I’ve only been told the review has been extended until 14 July. I understand security checks are necessary, but I’m worried about how long this is taking. Has anyone had a similar experience? How long did your security review last? Was your account eventually unfrozen? Is there anything else I can do to help move things along? Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Sent £500 to a closed bank account 3 weeks ago - money still missing. What should I do? I accidentally transferred £500 from my Revolut account to my sibling’s NatWest account, only to discover afterwards that they had already closed that NatWest account. I contacted Revolut straight away. They said they would raise an enquiry with NatWest to trace/recover the funds. It’s now been about three weeks and I haven’t had any meaningful update. The £500 has left my account, but it hasn’t been returned and obviously never reached my sibling. Has anyone been through this before? Is it normal for this to take this long? Should I be chasing Revolut, NatWest, or both? If the destination account was closed before the transfer, where does the money actually go? Is there anything else I should be doing to get this resolved?
[ES] Two bizarre transfer reviews in 48 hours over less than €12 total. Moving my funds back to my main bank. I wanted to share my experience as a new Revolut user. I opened my account two months ago specifically for an upcoming trip to India, intending to hold and convert my travel funds into Rupees. Everything was going smoothly until two days ago. Out of nowhere, I hit a \"transfer review\" for a tiny **€5 transfer sent by my husband**. It ended up failing the review, and now my husband is completely blocked from sending or receiving money from me. No explanation given. As if that wasn’t enough, **today I hit a second review** for a whopping **€6.08** from Amazon KDP. **The Support Experience:** I’ve spent much time in chats, cycling through 5 different agents in a single conversation. All of them gave the same copy-paste assurances that they are \"on top of the case\" and doing their best.. **My Solution:** I immediately moved all my money back to Open Bank, where I’ve never had a single issue in my life. Right now, my Revolut balance is at €0. **How I plan to use it now:** I’ll keep the account *only* for occasional ATM withdrawals while traveling. If I need cash, I will transfer the exact, immediate amount from Open Bank to Revolut and withdraw it instantly. **Final Verdict:** The whole experience felt incredibly bizarre. Blocking a life partner from sending €5 with zero explanation makes you feel like a hostage to arbitrary automated processes. It’s a shame, because I was actually considering moving my *nómina* (salary) here. Safe to say, this is a bank to never keep more than €10 inside.
[GB] my Revolut account restricted for over 2 weeks – funds (£5,200) held with no progress. Seeking advice. **Hi everyone,** **I’m looking for some advice on how to handle an ongoing issue with Revolut. My account has been restricted for over two weeks now, and my funds (£5,200) are completely inaccessible.** **Every time I reach out to support, I get the same copy-paste response telling me that the review will be resolved in \"9 calendar days.\" This cycle has been repeating, and the deadline they give me keeps passing with no change and no clear explanation.** **I’m becoming very frustrated as this is a significant amount of money for me.** **Has anyone else experienced this specific \"9-day\" loop with Revolut?** **Is there a way to escalate this beyond the standard in-app chat support?** **What formal steps can I take to get a real update on my case?** **Any advice on how to get them to actually look at my case rather than just sending automated messages would be greatly appreciated.**
[N/A] BLOCKING MONEY. PLEASE CAUTION Hello guys, I’m using Revolut as my second bank. Over a month ago I got all my money blocked, I cannot withdraw nor receive any type of payment. I have a ton of money in my account and I cannot do anything about it, I sent them millions of mails but this shitty AI keep answering me, I already talk with my lawyer and we are going to sue Revolut. Please be careful with your money in Revolut, any day your money can be freezed and you cannot do ANYTHING about it.
[GB]Warning for business owners — Revolut Business merchant account restrictions and what to expect I run a small UK agency and want to share an experience in case it helps anyone else considering Revolut Business as their main account, especially if you take card payments from clients. A larger-than-usual client payment landed in our merchant account from a legitimate, verifiable client (signed contract, proper invoice, the works). Within a day, the account was restricted pending a “security review.” No warning beforehand. What followed was five days of in-app chat support giving repeated, conflicting timelines. “24 hours.” “By end of day.” “By this time tomorrow.” “2 business days.” None of these were honoured. I was told a manager wasn’t available to take over the chat and that managers are bound by the same process anyway, so escalating internally didn’t really go anywhere. I provided every document they asked for, fully signed contract, invoice, the lot, within hours of being asked. It still took days to even get a templated “final response” to a formal complaint, which didn’t resolve anything or give a firm timeline. Meanwhile, as a small business, that held payment is real money I needed for payroll and to cover upfront costs to actually start delivering the work the client paid for. It’s not an abstract inconvenience, it directly affects whether you can pay your team on time. I’ve now escalated to the Financial Ombudsman Service, which is the right of any UK business banking customer if a complaint isn’t resolved satisfactorily. **My takeaway for other founders:** if you’re relying on a fintech as your primary merchant account for anything beyond small, predictable amounts, have a backup. A traditional business bank or a payment processor like Stripe alongside it means one frozen account doesn’t stop your whole business. I didn’t have that backup i…
[GB] ÂŁ60,000 held and frozen by Revolut for months now However on the 5th of May they semi restricted my account with no inbound payments allowed. Again, I trusted Revolut so I did not transfer my money out (big mistake). On the 27th of May they fully restricted my account (basically frozen). UPDATE: 01/07/26 - they made the decision to close my account and allowed me to withdraw all my funds finally.
[GB] Account closed after providing docs asked by Revolut - help needed Hi everyone, Posting because I can't seem to get a straight answer through Revolut's in-app support. My account was restricted and then closed. Before that happened, Revolut asked me to verify my address and finance. I sent the documents they asked for, including proof of address and bank statements, and I tried to cooperate with the review as much as possible. Even after that, Revolut still closed the account. I was not told what was wrong with the documents, whether something was missing, or whether there was a specific concern with my account activity. Support only gave me generic replies, so I still do not understand what actually happened. Has anyone else had their account closed even after submitting ID and address documents? What happened after? I need support.
[GB]Revolut holding $375k payment for 37 days despite promising 24 hours — then offered me £150 compensation Been with Revolut Business for over 2 years. International B2B trader, £11m+ annual revenue. Made payments of $600k+ through them previously with zero issues. On 23rd March I made a $374,963 payment to a supplier in the UAE that I’ve paid many times before. Revolut’s app said the review would take “up to 24 hours.” That was 37 days ago. Payment is still held. It gets worse. After freezing that payment, Revolut processed two further payments to the exact same supplier — $20k and $51k — both went through in minutes. No explanation for why those were fine but the $374k is still held. On 14th April they then fully restricted my account. Over £400k of business revenue locked. Can’t send, can’t receive, can’t do anything. I’ve provided every document they’ve asked for. They confirmed in writing that no further documentation is needed from me. Their own agent described it as a “standard security review.” For £700k+ of frozen business assets. Standard. I submitted a formal complaint. They upheld it — admitted I had reasonable grounds. Their compensation offer? £150. For £700k frozen and 37 days of business disruption. In their Final Response they even admitted the delay was partly due to “resources available at a certain time.” So they’re holding my money because they don’t have enough staff. What I’ve had to do to survive: - Borrow six figures at commercial interest rates just to pay staff and suppliers - Bounced direct debits damaging my credit rating - Lost sales because I can’t buy stock - UAE supplier chasing me daily for the $374k that’s sitting in Revolut’s system - Had to open new business accounts elsewhere just to keep operating I’ve now filed with FOS, reported to the FCA, and am seeking legal advice for emergency court relief. Has anyone else been through…
