[HU] [KZ] Revolut closed my account and €400 disappeared. Bank statement shows €0 opening and €0 closing balance. What should I do? Hi everyone, I'm really hoping someone here has experienced something similar or can point me in the right direction. My Revolut account was closed, and before it was closed I had around **€400** in it. This money was a **rental deposit refund** that someone from Hungary transferred to me. I never spent or transferred the money anywhere—I believed it was safely sitting in my account. I contacted Revolut and requested a bank statement. They sent me one (after verifying my identity with my date of birth), but the statement shows: * **Opening balance: €0** * **Closing balance: €0** It doesn't show the €400 at all. Unfortunately, I didn't take screenshots of my Revolut balance before the account was closed, and I know that's my mistake. However, **the person who sent me the money has proof that they transferred it to me**, so there is evidence that the payment was made. I also asked the sender whether the payment had been automatically returned after my account was closed, but they confirmed that **they never received the money back**. At this point, I have no idea where the €400 went. Has anyone dealt with something similar? * Is Revolut legally required to account for customer funds after an account is closed? * Why would a bank statement show a zero opening and zero closing balance if the account definitely received money? * Should I escalate this to the financial ombudsman or the Bank of Lithuania (since Revolut Bank is licensed there), or is there another authority I should contact first?
