They then closed my personal account, citing payments for trading crypto, illegal products, or restricted items.

Collected public accountOutcome not established

Stay away from @Wise. I used it to collect B2B payments from clients. After the second payment, they requested invoices, tax files and financial records from 3rd parties (like Stripe or PayPal which has nothing to do with the payments I received) to verify the transactions. I provided dozens of files between me and my clients. They then demanded sensitive supplier details, including our business agreement and prior transaction records from an external bank account. I never paid my supplier via Wise, so why submit unrelated documents? After seeing ongoing incidents of Wise closing business accounts without concrete evidence here (Like what @sbamz1 and @janskapa had suffered), I withdrew my funds, closed the business account, and switched to a real bank. They then closed my personal account, citing payments for trading crypto, illegal products, or restricted items. I never trade crypto. My business is startup and sells legal products, and the brand is getting famous in our industry this year. “Restricted items like weaponry?” You joking? All the records and information I provided can clearly indicate my business is legit so do those payments. However, Wise still decided to retaliate against me by closing my personal account without having any evidence. If you’re a business person, stay away from it. The trouble it causes has exceeded the convenience it provides. If you are an individual, it’s also unsafe for you to have any money in it because they can simply close your account by using vague, catch-all compliance justifications without providing meaningful explanations. Just stay away from it.
